Who We Are

Hershey Therapy Practice was built on a simple promise: every child deserves a clear voice and a confident place in their community. We provide personalized, evidence-based pediatric speech and language therapy for families in Greenwich and Fairfield County, Connecticut, and Westchester County, New York, blending research-driven methods with a gentle, practical approach that honors each child’s strengths and each family’s daily routines. From your first phone call through every stage of care, we believe parents deserve clarity - so you’ll always understand the why, what, and how behind your child’s plan. Our services are delivered in our clinic, in your home, in school or daycare, or via telehealth, making high-quality care accessible and flexible for real life.

If you’re worried about your child’s speech or communication, you’re not alone - and you don’t have to navigate it alone. Our play-based, strengths-led approach creates therapy that feels safe, engaging, and achievable, while our parent coaching ensures progress continues far beyond each session. We partner closely with families, educators, and other providers so skills carry over into everyday moments - from the classroom to the playground to the dinner table. What families experience is simple and reassuring: sessions their child genuinely enjoys, clear takeaways after every visit, and visible progress as goals grow alongside their child. Our goal is steady, meaningful growth - and a confident communicator who feels understood, supported, and proud of their voice.

meet our (ahmazing!) founder

Hi, I’m Tala Hershey!

I’m a speech-language pathologist and the founder of Hershey Therapy Practice. I live in Lower Westchester and provide speech and language therapy based in Greenwich, where I work closely with children and families to support communication in a way that actually fits real life.

I created Hershey Therapy Practice because I know how overwhelming it can feel to juggle appointments, schedules, and expectations especially when you’re already stretched thin as a parent. As a mom myself, I understand the need for flexibility, clarity, and reassurance. My goal was to build a practice where families feel supported, informed, and confident, not rushed or left wondering if they’re “doing enough.”

I’m licensed to provide therapy in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, and I’ve worked in both private practice and school settings with children and adults across a wide range of communication needs. I’m also the former President of the Westchester Speech Hearing Language Association.

My clinical work includes early language development, articulation and phonology, expressive and receptive language, social communication, fluency, voice, myofunctional concerns, and language-based reading and writing. I also offer parent-coaching sessions because I’ve seen, again and again, how powerful progress can be when parents understand what to do and why it works. I’m also the creator of The Tiny Talkers Course, developed to support families to teach their toddlers to talk beyond traditional therapy settings.

I earned my B.S. from Skidmore College in psychology and vocal performance and my M.S. from New York University in Communicative Sciences and Disorders. I’ve completed advanced training in PROMPT therapy, Sounds In Motion, and DIR-Floortime.

I believe successful therapy is collaborative and individualized. I work closely with parents, caregivers, educators, and other professionals to ensure skills carry over into daily life… not just the therapy room. My goal is always to support meaningful, lasting communication growth.

When I’m not working, I’m usually chasing two toddler boys who believe they’re superheroes. Between coloring, baking messes, park trips, and nonstop movement, life stays very busy and very loud 😅.
